General Specifications for Broadband

Broadband Options

Versions:
FTTH, ADSL, VDSL, CATV

Speed Rating:
Minimum rating of 4 Mbps to have a viewing experience

Typical Case:
Any major DSL provider or FTTH system should be adequate

Local Router:
Connect using the router that is provided by your Internet Service Provider

Environment:
Contact your internet service provider if you are unsure of the details of your connectivity environment

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Japan Internet providers RECOMMENDED – NTT (Flets), Yahoo BB, KDDI
2. Australia providers offering ADSL2 or ADSL1 with 8 Mbit or more are generally compatible
3. Most Korean broadband providers provide ample speeds for access to this service
4. Some smaller CATV systems and smaller broadband providers in Japan that are linked to specific buildings ("mansion internet") may require you to have specific router settings – this is generally easy to do and may entail a request to your provider to properly configure- if you have any difficulty, please contact us
5. Use of the router provided by your internet service company is strongly recommended
6. Following the guidelines will lead to minimum service interruptions

For TV viewing

1. Register your name, community, and residence location by clicking the Subscribe icon on the right-hand side of your screen
2. Choose your initial content and order your TV set-top box
3. Complete your purchase using Media Pay
4. Your set-top box should arrive within 5 days of your order. When you receive it, follow the instructions that are included, or use the video tutorial or User Manual download that can be found in the "Support" section of this website
5. It is easy to set-up your TV set-top box, but if you need help, you may call our Customer Service Center for technical assistance

For PC Client Viewing

1. Please download the latest version of the following media players and World On-Demand technical specifications
   
   
           
   
   
2. Follow the instructions found in the World On-Demand technical specifications you just downloaded
3. Register your name, community, and residence location by clicking the Subscribe icon on the right-hand side of your screen
4. Choose your initial content
5. Complete your purchase using Media Pay
6. You will automatically find yourself at your "Personal Media Space" where you can launch your content, search for new content that your community is watching, manage your account, and have the new experience of the World On-Demand
